It may have been some time in the planning but it’s finally happened – LTS Global Solutions has moved to new, extended premises in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, opening no less than 24 loading doors to enhance customer service and facilitate planned expansion.

The new premises comprises of a significant 3.5 acre site with easy access to local motorway networks, housing a fully refurbished 30,000ft2 warehouse with both racked and freestanding space. The site also features cross docking facilities, with 24 loading doors and covered consolidation areas to optimise freight handling. With the yard space to accommodate 100 vehicles, LTS now has more room to grow.

“With business continuing to expand at more than 20% year on year, the move was essential,” stated Managing Director Les Nunn. “We’re investing to secure our future with the new premises move and also our decision to invest in advanced computerised systems designed to improve our performance and enhance our service levels to customers.”

The technology investment sees LTS implementing a cohesive and streamlined transport, warehousing and storage and driver system. This is enabling the company to optimise productivity and gives customers the opportunity to view and manage the progress of their business, complete with added benefits such as real time track and trace and online PODs.

“Our infrastructure work this year has given us an important opportunity to improve our flexibility and further develop our services to customers, as well as positioning us for growth into the second half of this decade,” confirmed Les Nunn.
