LTS Joins TPN To Enhance Service Offering

12 March 2015 | LTS News

2015 is already proving a busy year for Birmingham-based LTS Global Solutions. Following a move to new premises late in 2014, LTS is expanding its range of services through membership of TPN – The Pallet Network – one of the UK’s leading palletised freight distribution systems.

New to the pallet network sector, LTS was seeking to partner with an organisation committed to a similar culture in terms of quality and customer service. With a membership comprising over 100 of the best independent hauliers in the UK, together with 28 companies who are part of TPN Ireland, TPN successfully handles in excess of 60,000 pallets a week through its purpose-designed 367,500ft2 Hub located just a few miles from the LTS site.

Dave Hands, Managing Director at LTS Global Solutions, is clear about the motives behind his decision to join TPN.

“Pallet networks provide independent logistics companies like LTS with cost effective and green solutions for palletised freight,” he confirmed. “We recognise the real commercial advantages of the system. Not just to enhance our service offering for existing customers but also to attract new customers with a requirement in this area. Partnering with TPN achieves both; we can now provide a comprehensive service to an even broader customer base. And with the confidence that this service matches our quality requirements.”

Strengthen service offering in the Midlands

From TPN’s perspective, welcoming LTS Global Solutions into the fold to cover central Birmingham postcode areas was a positive move for the whole network. “This is a dynamic and well trusted logistics provider with a history of investment and achievement which parallels many of our existing member companies,” stated TPN MD Mark Duggan. “We anticipate that their contribution will strengthen our service offering in the Midlands and further underline our reputation for quality and performance.”
