FLT Driver – (Closing date 16th September)

Job Purpose:

Working within our warehouse team to ensure that all import, export, pallet network, groupage and storage goods are received, stored and despatched in an accurate and efficient way.

General Duties:

  • Working safely to ultimately achieve customer requirements
  • Unload deliveries within given time scales and check against paperwork reporting any errors to the parties concerned
  • Process pallet network movements to correct vehicles checking load requirements and ensure timely despatch of goods
  • Loading and unloading of imports and exports, trailers and containers
  • Ensure accuracy when loading vehicles, maintaining safe load standards
  • Load and unload vehicles in a safe manner using manual handling or fork lift equipment
  • Assist with logistics operation when required
  • Updating and maintaining system accuracy for all movements through scanning and manifests
  • Demonstrate a keen eye whilst working under pressure.
  • Undertaking general housekeeping duties for the warehouse such as recycling and maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring you comply with statutory law, company policy & health & safety guidelines
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met

Hours & Remuneration:

Monday to Friday.  Warehouse Operating hours are 6am to 7pm and your shift will be between those times as appropriate.

£8.90 per hour plus overtime.

Logistics Administrator – (Closing date 16th September)

Due to internal restructuring we are recruiting for an additional Logistics administrator, you will be working within a team to provide administrative & customer service support to both internal & external logistics customers.

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring you comply with statutory law, company policy & health & safety guidelines
  • Maintain & achieve agreed customer service levels
  • Dealing with customers via telephone & email to book deliveries & keeping them up to date with progress
  • Dealing with queries from customers, rectifying & keeping both the customer & management team fully up to date on progress
  • Inputting orders onto system
  • Transferring of EDI orders onto system
  • Booking stock in and out
  • Stock control, management and movement
  • Preparing warehouse pick lists & keeping stock files updated
  • Entering consignment details onto carrier systems
  • Liaising with the warehouse and transport to ensure orders are correct.
  • Ensuring drivers have correct paperwork for deliveries & are aware of any customer requirements
  • Following up previous days deliveries to ensure they were actioned correctly.
  • Entering costs of shipments onto system ready for invoicing
  • Collating of POD’s checking, filing & sending to customers if required
  • Creating customer KPI reports, feedback & suggesting changes where required.
  • Involvement in projects as required for continual improvement leading to increased profitability.

Hours of Work – 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday

HGV 1 Tramper

Job Purpose:

Working within the transport and driving team to deliver a fist class service to our customers, ensuring their deliveries reach the destination in a safe and efficient way whilst adhering to transport and company regulations and requirements.

General Responsibilities:

  • Representing the company in a professional, helpful and proactive manner to all potential, new and current customers
  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring you comply with statutory law, company policy & health & safety guidelines
  • Complying with company policies and processes, achieving KPI’s to improve cost and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures and Service Level Agreements are complied with, for all customers.
  • Responsible for own load security and strapping ensuring a safe delivery.
  • Obtaining delivery confirmations from each customer via electronic or paper methods as required by the customer and ensuring these are returned safely to the transport office.
  • Reporting to traffic planners on potential incidents, delays and successful delivery ensuring they are advised if you are running behind schedule.
  • Conducting vehicle inspections before departure, recording via the app and reporting any defects to the transport office.
  • Delivering goods on assigned routes and adhering to timings and customer requirements.
  • Unloading goods as per client specifications, this may involve some manual handling or assisting the customer with unloading where required.
  • Participate in our ongoing driver assessment and CPC programmes and making driving improvements where required.
  • Promote a positive and supportive working environment for all employees.

Hours & Remuneration:

  • 20 days holiday+ 8 bank holidays
  • This is a Tramping role, working 5 days out of 7
  • £475 per week plus O/T and night out allowance.
  • £5 per day meal allowance (for over 5 hours worked)
  • Overtime rates; £12.50 per hour Monday – Friday, £14 per hour for Saturday £15.50 for Sunday.

We are recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne driver. The role is predominantly general haulage based, with some nights out, and on occasions multi-drop depending on the business requirements.
